Description
The annual Wells Branch Pioneer Festival celebrates Texas history Saturday, April 1 from 12-5 pm. The Pioneer Festival is centered around the historic Wells Branch Homestead, the 1850s-era cabin in KF Park. The Pioneer Festival will feature fun and educational activities throughout the day to experience the history of 19th century Texas. Demonstrations include butter churning, candle dipping, weaving, and log splitting, just to name a few. There will also be music, amusing pioneer games, pony rides, and even a petting zoo!  There will be concessions for sale.  If you would like to volunteer, or have a craft or activity from that period for demonstration, call the MUD office at 512-251-9814.
