Troop 1409 had a delegation of scouts that attended summer camp up in Oklahoma at the Kerr Scout Ranch at Slippery Falls. Scouts had a great time interacting with fellow Troops, putting on the "Un-caffinated Scout Masters campfire skit" and thoroughly enjoyed the wonderful facilities and staff at the scout ranch.
Scouts worked on numerous merit badges: Geocaching and Orienteering (using technology, geolocation, compass usage, map reading and more), Snorkeling Certification (using the equipment and safety), Basketweaving, Pottery, Indian Lore, American Cultures, Astronomy, Movie Making, Photography, Chess, Rifle Shooting, Kayaking, Horsemanship, Small Boat Sailing, Space Exploration, Wilderness Survival, Geology and Plumbing.
Congratulations to Chris for completing his BSA Lifesaving (Life Guard) Certification.
