Questions ranged from metro-rail, bicycle lanes, traffic congestion elevation, and even time travel. Everyone agreed that the health of the inhabitants of the city would drastically improve when better modes of transportation or current modes of transportation are improved.

The scouts were also working on their Citizenship series merit badges and some working on advancement to First Class. The boys had to research the issue of transportation, as well as have at least one thought out question regarding transportation that must be asked while State Representative Israel was visiting.

State Representative Celia Israel visited the troop house of BSA Troop 1409 the afternoon of September 14th, 2014. She came to discuss the wide spectrum of transportation issues in the State of Texas, in specific Austin, Texas, home of Troop 1409. Each scout was tasked with bringing at least one question for the visiting representative, however once the scouts became engaged in the conversation, there more questions and answers then time allowed.
